RED VELVET ($35)
This version of this Southern favorite combines moist layers of red, modestly cocoa-infused butter cake with buttery cream cheese frosting. One bite of this cake will make it a personal favorite.

BLACK & WHITE CHOCOLATE CAKE ($35)
A chocolaty cake with delicious vanilla butter cream filling and frosting, drizzled with chocolate. A chocolate lovers treat!

CARROT NUT CAKE $35)
This magnificently moist cake is a delectable blend of orange cream cheese frosting and robust layers of perfectly spiced carrot cake.

PINEAPPLE COCONUT ($35)
The traditional coconut cake is made even more satisfying with a special touch – layers of pineapple butter cream. The taste of pineapple and coconut together creates a familiar tropical experience.

WHY WE LUV THIS
When I first ate my sister-in-law, Kristina Pedlar’s cakes, I knew they were something special! Being a total foodie and knowing that how I experience food is kind of out there, I thought, “maybe it’s just me”. But, after having shared the cakes with colleagues and watching that familiar look of delight on their faces, it confirmed how special these cakes really are. The people’s choice is the Red Velvet, of course. My personal favorite is the Coconut Pineapple. — MAGGIE HERNANDEZ-KNIGHT

So Easy Baby Food Kits
$25.05 (Purchase)

WHY WE LUV THIS
When my son was a baby, we made a lot of his baby-food which we froze in ice cube trays for later use.  We eventually figured it out, but it was trial and error, mixing the right proportion of this and that until we got the right consistency and flavor.  How I wish we had these So Easy Baby Food Kits then.  They come complete with recipes, ice cube trays and instructions.  For my personal taste, I’d substitute use of the microwave (as suggested) with stove top cooking.  – MAGGIE HERNANDEZ-KNIGHT

WHY WE LUV THIS
With a few exceptions, at home we eat organic, freshly-made foods that we prepare ourselves. When asked, My 4-1/2 year old will almost always say, “Pizza!” and occasionally, “Cake!” as his choice for dinner. While, we’d love to satisfy his cravings more often, we all know the combination of heavy carbs, acid, dairy, and lots of oil isn’t exactly the healthiest choice, for any meal. Come Slice the Perfect Food and their Healthy Pizza Kits to the rescue. You get everything you need to build a home-made pizza, with all-natural and organic ingredients. We plan to visit the actual restaurant this weekend for a sit-in treat. Mama, Papa and Baby Bear are thrilled! — Maggie Hernandez-Knight
